 Q. How can I put one of your cursor trails onto my desktop so it'll follow my cursor around?
A. Simply stated, you can't. The reason you can't is because cursor trails work using a JavaScript inserted into the html code of a web page or e-mail stationary. Don't despair, though. The really smart people at CursorSkins have come up with a way for you to be able to make this work using a downloadable application.

Q. How do I put one of your cursor trails on my AOL hometown page?
A. DANGER DANGER! Before you get all hyped up, let me just inform you that somewhere along the lines, something goes awefully wrong when you're setting up a cursor trail in your AOL Hometown page. Once the cursor trail is set up, you are no longer able to click on links. It seems the images that form the trail embed themselves between the mouse pointer and the page. There is a way for you to set up a cursor trail in your AOL Hometown page if you don't plan on including links or just want to frustrate people out of their minds... mwa ha ha ha. Click here to take you to a page that will have the complete explanation. My suggestion? Register with another free hosting site such as Geocities, Tripod, Xoom, etc.

Q. Your site is even more cranky and PMSical than you are. It won't let me save the image I want. What do I do?
A. Try opening the page with another web browser. If that doesn't work or if you do not have another web browser, e-mail me and let me know which image(s) you want. Please be specific by including a name or description of the image. I will attach it/them in an e-mail and send it/them to you.

Q. Can I put more than one of your cursor trail on my web site?
A. Yes you can. You can have a million pages with a million of my cursor trails, but you MUST put a link to my site in EACH of the pages that contain one of my cursor trails. 5 page using cursor trails = 5 links. You may also link to my site in a credits page, BUT there must be a credits page link on EACH of the page(s) you used my cursor trails on. A small text link is not much to ask in return.

Q. I don't know what the !#*& you're talking about. Can you explain how to set up one of your cursor trails in plain ol' ENGLISH?
A. This can be problematic since certain computer nerd lingo is required. Simply stated... You need to save the image or images you want onto your own hard drive (right click, SAVE IMAGE AS or SAVE PICTURE AS for PC's or hold down the mouse button and wait then
Choose SAVE THIS IMAGE AS from the menu for MACs). Then you upload the images onto whatever you're using to make your web page (just as if you were uploading a picture that will be displayed on your site). Then you go to Dynamic Drive, grab the free script for your trail (it will be under the mouse trail link), insert it into your HTML document following the instructions Dynamic Drive offers.

Q. I'm really REALLY looking for a (insert noun here) cursor trail. Do you know where I can find one?
A. There are two things I can suggest. One is going to the cursor trails web ring and selecting list all and then searching through the sites that have cursor mouse trails available. The other is to e-mail me. I won't guarantee that I'll be able to make an image for you, but I have been known to do it before.

Q. Your site sucks. Can you make me a cursor to my specifications that won't suck?
A. Ok, do you really think you can get away with doing the Mexican Hat Dance on my ego and then have me do something nice for you? Do you think I'm a machine without feelings? I don't think so buddy! ;)

Q. I have an image that I want to use as a cursor trail. Can you make it for me if I send it to you?
A. Once again, I can't guarantee anything. It would be slightly easier for me to make a cursor trail out of a graphic than to make a cursor trail from scratch. On the other hand, it has to be a graphic that can be altered. Most sites won't allow you to alter their graphics as part of their terms of service. If the graphic can be altered or you have the permission of the maker or you ARE the maker of the graphic, e-mail it to me, and I'll see what I can do for you. I would still require a link to my site.

Q. What if I don't want to link to your site?
A. You don't really have a choice. Under my terms of service, you agreed to provide a link. Don't even try to get away with not giving me credit, for I shall find you and haunt you and pull on your toes while you're sleeping... All joking aside, you must add a link to my site or if it offends your moral or artistic sense, e-mail me. Maybe we can work something out. NO PROMISES.

Q. None of these questions answer my question(s). How can I contact you?
A. There a two ways to contact me. One way is to e-mail me at LaydyLynx@aol.com. Another way is to sign my questbook. Make sure to include your e-mail address. If you are an AOL member or have AIM, please do NOT Instant Message me. I'm sure you are a very nice person to chat with, but I'm usually busy when I'm online.
